In March 2025, a technical meeting was held in Gaziantep, Türkiye, bringing together farmers, agricultural experts, and policymakers to discuss sustainable agricultural practices. Hosted by Ankara University and NAZDER, the event explored the use of biochar and wood vinegar—natural byproducts of pyrolysis—as innovative solutions for soil health and pest control. With strong local interest, particularly from pistachio farmers, the meeting highlighted the potential for biomass-based approaches to transform regional agriculture.
